The haunted doll

I had a client's daughter that wanted to bring her haunted doll to my work, yes this really happened.

So, I had a make-up client bring her daughter along to her appointment and she (her daughter) told me that I reminded her of a paranormal investigator, and she had a haunted doll that she wanted to tell me about.  I would guess her age to be between ten and twelve years old.  So of course, me being naturally curious, I let her tell me about her doll.  Her doll's name was Penelope, and she had found her at a thrift store.  She said she was attracted to the doll and had to have it.  So, her mother bought the doll, and they took it home.  The girl would play with the doll and dress her up and treat her like she was real.  Until, one day she was, according to the girl.  The girl was playing with Penelope and her facial expressions changed, specifically her eyes, and they looked really sad.  The girl even said she had a seen a little girl ghost by her doll.  From then on, she would take Penelope everywhere with her except school or out in public because her mother wouldn't let her.  She really wanted to bring the doll to my work for me to see, but said she was the only one that could hold her because if someone dropped her by accident, she thought they would get bad luck or bad things would happen.  She said she trusted me to hold her though, I told her I didn't think that was a good idea, but she could bring her next time she came if she wanted to.  Her mother looked really uncomfortable the whole time she was telling me about the doll, but she said (the mother) she had seen the doll's eyes change as well.  I haven't seen them since, but this is probably one of the strangest work stories that I have, other than being stalked by a stranger.  Living in the South has been very interesting so far.
