My New Orleans ghost (vampire?) story

It was my first time ever visiting the Big Easy in January of 2019.

I was living in Colorado at the time and decided I wanted to make a trip out to New Orleans.  I had grown up reading Anne Rice's Interview with a vampire and watching the movie, so it was only natural that I was curious about New Orleans and its famous haunted history.  I booked my stay for the Bourbon Orleans hotel because it was located in the French Quarter and supposedly very haunted.  I also booked a vampire and ghost tour to learn more about the history of the city and their ghost stories.  I explored the city during the day, checking out the local shops and restaurants from Pere Antoine to the famous Boutique du Vampyre.  Later that evening I went on the ghost and vampire tour, and I learned about the plagues that had taken over the city as well as other unfortunate events that had taken place in the city.  Their city had certainly seen a lot!  After the tour wound down, I headed back to my hotel.  I had been put on the sixth floor.  I was on the highest floor with no floors above me as well as no balcony.  As soon as I settled in my room, the paranormal activity started.  The first thing that happened is the lights started flickering and then the bathroom fan, which is motion detected, started turning on and off by itself when I was nowhere near it.  Still, I could find ways to explain it away with my logical thinking, maybe their electrical wiring had issues was my first thought.  After I had settled into my bed, was snuggled under my blankets and about to fall asleep, the tapping on my window started and noises of what sounded like someone was trying to open my window!  I knew no one could possibly be out there because I was on the highest floor and had no balcony; so, they would have had to be flying or floating; in the middle of the night no less.  Then there were voices, feminine voices laughing mischievously and asking me point blank if I was going to invite them in.  The voices emanated from outside my window and reverberated through the glass, hovered in the air and waited for my response.  These weren't normal voices either but rather voices that had exaggerated length to them and echoed after, " Arre yoou gooing tooo inviiite uusss iiinn....?"  Hell no, I wasn't, and I didn't dare look out my window in fear of what I might see.  I literally had just gone on a ghost and vampire tour!  I definitely know I encountered something supernatural that night.  Interestingly enough the Bourbon Orleans hotel used to be a theatre at one time as well as a ballroom and convent.  Was it a ghost or vampire?  I don't know, but now when I hear ghost and vampire stories about New Orleans, I believe them.
